Overhead Recording & Listening Audios with Reaper Session

The Session will ALWAYS play in this order:

First - 121 AB

Second - 414 XY

I added 3 sets of the same samples.

1. RAW, as they were recorded.

2. Peak Matched @-12 dB FS

3. Matched @-28 LUFS-M

The objective is to try and make the kick really sit in the middle and the hi hat a bit on the side.

Snare might vary. The first 3 Versions were made by students trying to figure out how to get the most out of overhead drums.

Version 4 and forward 121 was setup by me & the 414 was setup by the studio engineer.

Something to look for in the session.

When you listen to them which one sounds like the fast fix that centers the kick drum completeley and better places the Snare & Hi Hat?

If the playback is not enough try playing with

- Polarity Switching

- Closing the Panning of one side

- Closing the Width of Panning

- Dual Mono Panning

- EQ only one Side
